Will Johnson could miss rest of Cardinals season with neck injury

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Will Johnson could miss the rest of the season after suffering a neck injury in Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, coach Mike LaFleur said on Monday.
LaFleur said the Cardinals do not believe Johnson will require surgery, but no return timetable has been provided. The assessment leaves Johnson’s season in doubt rather than confirming a season-ending absence.
The injury adds to uncertainty in Arizona’s defensive backfield. Cornerback Max Melton is day-to-day with a toe injury, while slot cornerback Garrett Williams is continuing his recovery from an Achilles injury.
Denzel Burke has started in the slot while Williams has been unavailable. Kei’Trel Clark and Kalen King are expected to help cover Johnson’s absence.
Johnson played only 12 games in 2025 while dealing with back, hip and groin injuries. The injury update was reported by Yahoo Sports.
