Bettor Loses $1 Million on Lions Bet After Earlier Chiefs Win
Fox Sports reports that an unidentified bettor lost a $1 million wager on Detroit after Buffalo won 41–31.
An unidentified bettor reportedly lost $1 million after backing the Detroit Lions at an alternate spread of +1.5 against the Buffalo Bills, according to Fox Sports.
The wager required Detroit to win or lose by no more than one point. Instead, Buffalo led 21–0 at half-time before winning 41–31.
The bet followed an earlier $1 million wager on the Kansas City Chiefs’ moneyline at -145 against the Denver Broncos. Fox Sports reported that Kansas City’s 31–10 victory produced a profit of $689,655 and a total payout of $1,689,655.
Both wagers were reportedly placed with Station Sports in Las Vegas. The source did not identify the bettor and did not establish whether the two bets resulted in an overall net loss.
Fox Sports also reported other major wagers during the weekend, including a $500 underdog parlay that returned $25,258 and winning parlays linked to the Bills–Lions game.
