Week 3 NFL finishes put late-game execution in focus

ESPN’s recap of Week 3 Sunday games highlighted a run of close finishes and upsets, with several results shaped by late-game execution. Denver overturned a 16-point half-time deficit to beat the Rams, while Baltimore edged Dallas with a field goal as time expired.
The Broncos tied the score with second-half touchdowns before Bo Nix capped a 65-yard drive with a one-yard quarterback sneak, 47 seconds from the end. ESPN reported that safety Talanoa Hufanga had two interceptions, including a pick-six and a game-sealing interception on the final play.
Baltimore’s Tyler Loop kicked a 56-yard field goal after Lamar Jackson found Zay Flowers for 26 yards with seven seconds remaining. Dallas had rallied from an 11-point deficit, but ESPN’s account said the Ravens’ late drive settled the result.
Washington upset Seattle without starting quarterback Jayden Daniels. Backup Marcus Mariota led the offence, and linebacker Kain Medrano returned an interception for a touchdown. ESPN reported that Washington forced three turnovers, while Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold threw two interceptions.
Pittsburgh beat Cincinnati in a high-scoring game. Steelers running back Jaylen Warren ran for 127 yards on 17 carries, according to ESPN, while Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow lost a fumble late as Cincinnati drove for a possible tie or win.
