US trio wins Vintage Veterans Trophy at FIM Enduro event
Fred Hoess, Billy Burns and Terry Cunningham secured the United States’ first victory at the event’s 10th edition in Germany.

The United States won the Vintage Veterans Trophy at the 10th FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy in Zschopau, Germany, with Fred Hoess, Billy Burns and Terry Cunningham taking the class title.
The result was the country’s first victory at the event, which brings national teams together to compete on vintage enduro motorcycles in a multi-day contest.
Austria finished second, followed by Italy in third. Host nation Germany placed fourth and the Czech Republic fifth.
Hoess also won the Vintage Veterans individual Final Cross Test. Italy claimed the Vintage Silver Vase and a Vintage Club Team class, while Czech rider Pavel Koncicky topped the Vintage Individual standings on the final day.
The American Motorcyclist Association reported the team result and described it as the United States’ first win at the FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy.
