No. 4 Ole Miss is scheduled to visit No. 21 Florida in Gainesville on Saturday, with kick-off set for 3:30 p.m. ET. Both sides are 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the SEC, making the matchup an early test of their conference standing.
The Rebels arrive after a 32-24 win over LSU, while Florida beat Auburn 44-39. Ole Miss is playing its first road game of the season; Florida is 2-0 at home, according to CBS Sports.
CBS Sports lists Florida as a 3.5-point favourite and the points total at 58.5. Its report says the SportsLine model simulated the game 10,000 times and projects 51 combined points, favouring the under in 68 per cent of simulations. Those figures are betting estimates, not a game result.
Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has completed 70 per cent of his passes for 924 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions for Ole Miss. Florida quarterback Aaron Philo has completed 73.4 per cent for 721 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions, and has run for two scores.
Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy is listed as questionable. The teams’ all-time series is tied 13-13-1; Ole Miss won last year’s meeting 34-24.
