UFC CEO Dana White Teases Unconventional Venue Concept Following White House Event
Ultimate Fighting Championship is exploring a new event site after recent broadcasts at the Sphere and the White House, with CEO Dana White stating further groundwork is required before a decision is finalised.
Ultimate Fighting Championship chief executive Dana White has confirmed that the promotion is developing a new unconventional event venue, following a series of high-profile broadcasts that have moved the organisation beyond traditional arenas. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, White revealed that UFC head of production Craig Borsari has pitched a concept for the next major event, describing the idea as exciting but noting it remains in the early stages of development.
White did not disclose the proposed location or potential date for the event, indicating that specific details would only be announced on The Pat McAfee Show if the necessary groundwork is completed. The UFC chief emphasised that while he is enthusiastic about the proposal, the project requires further assessment before it can be finalised.
The announcement comes in the wake of significant logistical successes for the promotion, including UFC 306 at the Sphere in Las Vegas and UFC Freedom 250 at the White House in Washington, D.C. White reflected on the White House event, describing it as the greatest thing he has ever been involved with and noting that there will never be anything like it again.
White credited Borsari with the success of the White House broadcast, stating that the head of production was "so cocky" after successfully executing the event. It was this confidence that led to the current discussions regarding a new venue concept, which White confirmed was Borsari’s idea and one that he personally supports.
This development follows UFC Vegas 120, which took place on 8 August 2026 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. The event featured a main event where Quillan Salkilld defeated Mateusz Gamrot via a first-round rear-naked choke, alongside other notable results including Diego Ferreira’s unanimous decision victory over Billy Quarantillo.
Despite the excitement surrounding the new venue tease, White maintained that the project is not yet confirmed. He reiterated that he must complete additional groundwork on the idea before committing to the next unconventional location, leaving the specific site and timeline for the event uncertain.
