Titans Robinson prioritises communication with Ward ahead of 2026 season

One of the Tennessee Titans' primary objectives during the 2026 offseason was to enhance the supporting cast for second-year quarterback Cam Ward. Through a combination of free agency and the draft, the franchise has added new talent to the roster, most notably veteran wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson. Robinson, who spent his first four NFL seasons with the New York Giants, joined the Titans as a free agent following the arrival of Brian Daboll, who previously coached Robinson in New York and now serves as the Titans' offensive coordinator.
Speaking with the media after Organized Team Activities on Thursday, May 21, 2026, Robinson outlined his approach to integrating into the new system. When asked about potential miscommunications, Robinson acknowledged that some may have occurred early in the process but highlighted his method for addressing them. He described a routine of immediately seeking feedback from Ward after option routes, asking specifically what adjustments were needed to become a more valuable target. This proactive approach aims to refine their timing and ensure Ward has reliable options when executing plays.
The Titans' receiving group for 2026 is now comprised of a diverse mix of talent. Alongside Robinson, the corps includes returning veteran Calvin Ridley, Carnell Tate, Elic Ayomanor, and Chimere Dike.
