Comedian Tim Heidecker is set to premiere The Tim Heidecker Podcast on The Onion’s streaming programme, turning his attention to Joe Rogan-style conversations. WIRED reports the show is scheduled for 8 pm ET on Thursday; it does not specify the calendar date.

The debut episode features comedy duo Rajat Suresh and Jeremy Levick, who return from Heidecker’s 2021 Rogan parody. That earlier production became a 12-hour podcast by looping one hour of footage 12 times.

The new episode takes up pronouns and AI speculation, and includes a plug for “Crab Salts”, a fictional supplement in the satire. The show also features a discussion of DEI policies and other culture-war subjects.

The Onion has also launched a streaming programme spoofing Infowars and its former host Alex Jones. The outlet has been pursuing Infowars assets through bankruptcy proceedings, according to WIRED.
