The victory marks a significant step forward for the Thunder, who are currently ranked first in the Western Conference with a 64-18 record, as they prepare to host their opponents on Thursday.
While LeBron James led the Lakers with 27 points, the outcome of the contest was defined by the Thunder's ability to control the boards and limit outside shooting.
