Tesla’s “abundance” vision still lacks public detail, TechCrunch reports
More than a year after Elon Musk promised to flesh out Tesla’s Master Plan IV, the company has yet to explain publicly how its abundance vision would work in practice.

Tesla has not supplied practical public specifics for its “amazing abundance” vision, TechCrunch reported, more than a year after Elon Musk said he would add detail to Master Plan IV. The plan, presented on 1 September 2025, drew criticism for being generic.
Musk and Tesla executives have since linked artificial intelligence, robots and robotaxis to a future of abundance. Musk has described that future as giving people access to what they can imagine, including housing and medical care. Those statements describe aspirations; the report does not establish how Tesla would deliver them.
The vision carries financial weight for the company. Tesla filings link product goals associated with Musk’s proposed $1 trillion pay package to supporting the plan. The targets cited include 20 million vehicle deliveries, 10 million active Full Self-Driving subscriptions, and one million each of robotaxis and robots.
Tesla chair Robyn Denholm told shareholders that abundance was “not just a slogan” and described it as a future of broader prosperity. In August, Tesla also applied to trademark “amazing abundance” for products including cars, robots and merchandise, according to TechCrunch.
The report does not establish whether Tesla has practical plans that it has not made public, or the status of the trademark application. For investors, the gap remains between the company’s expansive vision and the public detail available on how its product targets are meant to realise it.
