Tennessee is expected to start George MacIntyre at quarterback against Arkansas on Saturday, according to multiple reports cited by Yahoo Sports. The available reports do not include an official team announcement.

MacIntyre replaced Faizon Brandon late in the first half of Tennessee’s 24–14 win over Auburn. Brandon had completed 3 of 8 passes for no yards and an interception before the change.

MacIntyre completed 8 of 10 passes for 86 yards. Tennessee’s offence also relied on DeSean Bishop, who ran for 220 yards and three touchdowns.

Brandon had won Tennessee’s quarterback competition in fall camp as the team sought a replacement for Joey Aguilar. The reports do not explain the reasoning behind the expected change for the Arkansas game.
