SportsLine’s computer model has simulated all 12 Major League Baseball games scheduled for Monday, July 27, to generate betting advice for the day’s slate. The model highlights a National League Central matchup between the Chicago Cubs and St Louis Cardinals, with the Cubs listed as -120 favourites. Other featured games include the Mariners versus the Rangers, the Orioles versus the Tigers, the Diamondbacks versus the Pirates, and the Guardians versus the Reds.
The model recommends a three-way parlay with a potential payout of nearly +500, specifically backing the Pittsburgh Pirates (-120) against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This selection is grounded in Pittsburgh’s recent performance against Arizona, having won four of the last five games and six of the past eight meetings. The Pirates also won two of three games against Arizona in May.
Pittsburgh will start right-hander Mitch Keller (6-7, 4.90 ERA), who recently pitched five innings allowing three hits and two walks with six strikeouts in a 5-3 win over the New York Yankees. The Diamondbacks will counter with right-hander Merrill Kelly (8-8, 5.12 ERA), who has won three of his last four starts.
