NFL DFS: Week 2 NFL preseason daily fantasy football picks, Friday lineups for DraftKings, FanDuel
NFL Daily Fantasy

SportsLine NFL expert R.J. White has released his top daily fantasy football picks for the second week of the 2026 NFL preseason. The recommendations focus on Friday’s three-game slate, which features the Steelers versus the Jets, the Panthers versus the Jaguars, and the Packers versus the Broncos. White, identified as SportsLine’s No. 1 all-time NFL ATS expert and a two-time casher in the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest, has locked in his optimal lineups for the upcoming matches.

A central theme in the analysis is the monitoring of playing time, a critical factor for fantasy players on DraftKings and FanDuel. White has identified Jets running back Braelon Allen as a primary target for the slate. With starter Breece Hall sidelined due to a groin injury, Allen is expected to see increased first-team reps. Coach Aaron Glenn has hinted that starters will play on Friday, further elevating Allen’s potential value.

Allen’s recent performance supports this projection. Even while serving as a backup in the previous week, he led the Jets with 44 yards and one touchdown on just four carries. Although he missed most of the 2025 season due to an MCL injury, Allen recorded 482 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns as a rookie in 2024. At the time, he was the NFL’s youngest player at 20 years old.

On the Steelers side, White is building around receiver Germie Bernard. The second-round pick, who led Alabama in receiving last season with 64 catches for 862 yards and seven touchdowns, had four receptions for 51 yards in preseason Week 1. He also led Pittsburgh with five targets. Steelers coach Mike McCarthy has indicated that only quarterbacks Drew Allar and Will Howard will take snaps on Friday, a decision intended to give young players a chance to impress. This approach is expected to benefit the receiving group, including Bernard.

The quarterback position also offers notable context for the week’s matchups. Steelers quarterback Drew Allar performed well in the previous week, throwing two touchdowns and running for another. Meanwhile, Kenny Pickett has moved to the Carolina Panthers, marking his fourth team in four years. In his previous appearance, Pickett completed 84.2 percent of his passes for 92 yards and one touchdown, recording more pass attempts than all other Panthers quarterbacks combined.

For the Friday slate, player prices are set at $5,500 on DraftKings and $6,000 on FanDuel. White’s analysis suggests that identifying undervalued players with high upside could be the difference between winning tournaments and cash games. The full list of picks and strategy is available through SportsLine.
