Free MLB home run picks, odds for May 27: Bryce Harper in expert's best bets for Wednesday HR player props
Data analyst highlights matchups involving Bryce Harper, Brandon Lowe, and Evan Carter

SportsLine data analyst Jacob Fetner has released his selections for Major League Baseball home run player props for Wednesday, May 27. With a 15-game slate scheduled, Fetner has identified three specific matchups based on statistical data, recent player form, and pitcher performance metrics.

Fetner recommends Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper (+537) against San Diego Padres starter Walker Buehler. The analyst points to Harper’s career success against the right-handed pitcher, noting he is 4-for-6 with a home run in his career against Buehler. Harper has also been effective on the road this season, hitting four home runs over his last 10 road games.

The second selection features Tampa Bay Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe (+499) facing Chicago Cubs starter Jameson Taillon. Fetner highlights Taillon’s recent struggles, having allowed 13 earned runs in 15 innings over his last three starts, including six home runs. Lowe, who is hitting .313 with a 1.064 OPS on the road this season, is 4-for-14 against Taillon in his career with two home runs.

Texas Rangers outfielder Evan Carter is selected as a longshot against Houston Astros pitcher Mike Burrows. Fetner notes that Carter has hit all six of his home runs this season against right-handed pitchers and is coming off a game where he finished a double shy of the cycle. Burrows has given up eight of his 12 home runs this season to left-handed batters.

Fetner’s recommendations follow a recent period of success, including correct predictions for Ketel Marte and Casey Schmitt on Tuesday. He was up 50 units on MLB home run picks last year and recently saw a parlay involving Nick Kurtz and Brandon Lowe pay out at odds of more than 30-1.
