Spain beat Czechia 3-1 in a UEFA Nations League Group A3 match, with Lamine Yamal scoring in the sixth minute. The result put Spain three points clear of England at the top of the group, Al Jazeera reported.

Yamal’s goal was his third consecutive strike inside the opening 10 minutes of a men’s international, a record reported by Al Jazeera. He had scored in the second minute against England and Croatia in Spain’s previous two matches.

Captain Rodri doubled Spain’s lead in the 35th minute. Jiri Slama pulled one back for Czechia, before Mikel Merino scored late to secure the win.

Czechia’s comeback effort was further disrupted when Ladislav Krejci received a second yellow card and was sent off.

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente substituted Yamal at half-time ahead of Tuesday’s match against Croatia.
