SpaceXAI launches Grok Bot AI agent service

SpaceXAI has released Grok Bot, an always-on artificial intelligence agent service designed to function as independent teammates capable of completing multi-step workplace tasks. The bots operate within their own cloud-based computer environment, allowing them to sign into applications, share context, and coordinate work autonomously.

The service is now available in beta for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers on desktop and iOS. Teams and enterprise users can join a waitlist for future access, as the company looks to expand beyond its current subscriber base.

Grok Bot represents the latest push from Elon Musk’s AI company to compete with business services launched by rival providers, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT Work, Anthropic’s Claude Cowork, and Microsoft’s Copilot Tasks. SpaceXAI states that the service builds on an internal prototype already used to handle sales outreach, marketing, office operations, and bug fixes within the company.

Users can message the bots like a colleague from their phone or desktop to designate work without having to build workflows and routines first. Multiple bots can be run in parallel, with one bot assigned to manage others working on specialized tasks. The bots can independently message each other to share context when projects overlap, according to SpaceXAI.

The bots can also be placed in group chat environments to coordinate work and assign ownership on their own. They are designed to learn and save existing workflows, retain context about how users perform tasks to preserve personal voice, and follow up on dropped conversations.

SpaceXAI says the agents can pick up work from old chats and become more proactive over time, picking up work before users need to ask and knowing when something needs attention. The bots only return to the user when their assigned work is completed or if something requires approval.
