Sonny Styles rises in NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year odds after debut

Styles’ sportsbook odds shortened to +700 after his first game for Washington, while David Bailey remains the favourite at +425.

Sonny Styles has moved up the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year oddsboard after making an immediate impact for Washington against Philadelphia.

Styles recorded four tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a quarterback hit in his debut. Fox Sports reported that his odds shortened from +850 to +700 following the performance.

DraftKings listed David Bailey as the leading candidate at +425 on 14 September, ahead of Caleb Downs at +550. Styles was level with Rueben Bain Jr at +700.

Bailey entered the season as the +450 favourite and recorded four tackles, six quarterback pressures and a sack in Week 1. Styles was selected seventh overall, with three former Ohio State players taken among the first seven selections.

The quoted figures are sportsbook odds rather than confirmed predictions and may change.
