The forecast anticipates the team will secure a bowl game berth for the first time in five seasons, projecting a 6-6 overall record and a 4-5 finish in Big Ten play.
The prediction outlines a specific sequence of results that would see the Spartans clear the current win over/under total of 4.5 by two victories. The projected schedule includes wins against Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Northwestern, and Rutgers. Conversely, the account forecasts losses to Notre Dame, Nebraska, UCLA, Michigan, Washington, and Oregon.
According to the projection, Michigan State would open the year with victories over Toledo and Eastern Michigan. The Spartans would then face a mid-season stretch involving losses to Notre Dame and Nebraska, followed by a three-game winning streak against Wisconsin, Illinois, and Northwestern.
