Snedeker and Ogilvy finalise 2026 Presidents Cup rosters
Captains have confirmed their final selections for the upcoming event at Medinah Country Club, blending seasoned veterans with emerging talent.
The 2026 Presidents Cup teams have been officially finalised, with United States captain Brandt Snedeker and International captain Geoff Ogilvy completing their 12-man rosters on Tuesday evening. The announcement follows the conclusion of the PGA Tour season, with automatic qualifiers confirmed after the BMW Championship and Tour Championship. The competition is scheduled to take place from 24 to 27 September at Medinah Country Club’s Course No. 3 outside Chicago.
Snedeker’s selections for the United States include Chris Gotterup, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Jacob Bridgeman, Patrick Cantlay, and Jackson Koivun. These players join the automatic qualifiers, who are led by world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. The remaining American roster consists of Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley, and Collin Morikawa.
For the International side, Ogilvy selected Corey Conners, Nico Echavarria, Sungjae Im, Ryo Hisatsune, Nick Taylor, and Christiaan Bezuidenhout. They will be joined by automatic qualifiers Adam Scott, Hideki Matsuyama, Si Woo Kim, Min Woo Lee, and Tom Kim. Scott is set to make his 12th consecutive Presidents Cup appearance, bringing significant experience to the squad.
The rosters feature a notable mix of debutants and established performers. For the United States, Gotterup, Bridgeman, and Koivun will make their debuts in either the Presidents Cup or Ryder Cup. On the International side, Echavarria, Hisatsune, and Taylor will also be making their first appearances, joining Champion Golfer of the Year Ryan Fox as rookies for the team.
Justin Thomas, who has a career Presidents Cup record of 10-3-2, remains a key figure for the Americans, with all his losses occurring in Sunday singles matches. Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay, who hold a combined record of 10-4-0 in the event, are frequently paired together in four-ball and foursomes formats.
Among the new additions, Jackson Koivun turned professional this summer and defeated Scottie Scheffler at the 3M Open. Jacob Bridgeman won the Genesis Invitational in February, while Nico Echavarria secured a victory at PGA National during the Florida Swing.
