Sky Sports and Audi have launched Flying Lap, a Formula 1 circuit guide series that combines real-world driving with simulation data and visualisations.

Presented by Sky Sports pundit and former Formula 1 driver Karun Chandhok, the series uses an Audi RS5 road car to take viewers through key sections of each circuit.

The format incorporates Audi’s R26 simulation technology and virtual renderings of an Audi R26 Formula 1 car. The visualisations examine braking zones, racing lines, gear changes, cornering speeds and overtaking opportunities.

The first three episodes focus on Miami, Silverstone in Great Britain and Monza in Italy. The series moves between footage of the road car on track and a virtual environment showing the circuit from exterior and cockpit perspectives.

Flying Lap is part of Sky Sports’ Innovation partnership with Audi, with Audi simulation technology integrated into the broadcaster’s production. The series launched across Sky Sports platforms in May 2026.
