Santos defeated Internacional 3-2 at Beira-Rio in the 26th round of the 2026 Brazilian Championship, extending their run to three consecutive away victories.

Gabriel Barbosa opened the scoring after capitalising on a mistake by Internacional defender Félix Torres. He added a second from the penalty spot after a VAR-reviewed incident involving Matheus Bahia, who was sent off.

Christian Oliva headed Santos’ third goal before half-time, with the visitors taking a 3-0 lead into the break. Internacional reduced the deficit early in the second half through Aguirre, but Santos held on for the win.

The result takes Santos to 32 points and 12th place, according to Yahoo Sports, which reported that the club is seven points clear of the relegation zone. Their previous away wins came against Vasco and Corinthians.

Santos are scheduled to host Atlético-MG on Wednesday 9 September in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana quarter-finals.
