Samsung is preparing to re-enter the premium over-ear headphone market with a new device tentatively identified as the Galaxy H1. Evidence of the product’s development has emerged from strings of code and connection status icons within the Galaxy Wearable app, as reported by SamMobile. The discovery signals the company’s intent to compete directly with established high-end models such as Apple’s AirPods Max and Sony’s XM series.
The Galaxy H1 is projected to launch in 2027, marking a significant milestone for the South Korean technology giant. It would represent Samsung’s first entry into the over-ear headphone segment since the release of the Level On in 2015. This decade-long gap in hardware preceded Samsung’s acquisition of Harman and several other audio brands, suggesting a strategic shift in how the company approaches high-fidelity audio devices.
While the app icons confirm the device will be wireless Bluetooth over-ear headphones, the final industrial design remains unconfirmed.
