NFL PRESEASON

The New York Giants followed up a dominant joint practice with a decisive 26-3 victory over the Miami Dolphins in a Week 2 preseason match at Hard Rock Stadium. The result extended New York’s physical edge over Miami, with the Giants controlling both lines of scrimmage and all three phases of play in a complete team effort.

Rookie offensive lineman J.C. Davis led the Giants in playing time, logging a full game against the Dolphins. The extended action provided the coaching staff with a comprehensive look at Davis’s capabilities, and his performance has positioned him strongly to secure a spot on the 53-man roster.

With a number of starting-caliber players held out of the early action, snaps were distributed widely across the roster, a typical approach for the preseason. This strategy allowed depth players and younger contributors to see extended opportunities while the team maintained its structural advantage throughout the contest.

Among the remaining players, defensive tackle Darius Alexander recorded the highest snap share at 58 per cent. Linebacker Micah McFadden and cornerback Paulson Adebo also featured prominently, each recording a 56 per cent snap share.

Cornerback Deonte Banks contributed in a more limited capacity, playing 16 snaps during the match. The overall distribution of snaps reflects the Giants’ focus on evaluating depth and rotational pieces ahead of the regular season.

The match followed a period of intense preparation for both clubs. The Miami Dolphins, who have recently released a projection of their own 53-man roster following transactions by general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, faced a New York side that appeared well-organised and physically dominant in the preseason setting.
