Ray-Ban is currently running a series of promotional offers in August 2026, positioning its smart eyewear and classic frames at reduced price points. According to WIRED, the brand is offering 40 per cent off prescription lenses, a discount that explicitly includes its AI-powered glasses. This move appears designed to accelerate adoption of the Ray-Ban Meta line, which features hands-free capabilities for photography, video, music, calls, live translation, and AI assistance.

The current generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses includes an upgraded camera and longer battery life, maintaining the brand’s familiar aesthetic while integrating advanced technology. However, the source notes that the higher price point, reliance on Meta’s AI ecosystem, and privacy concerns regarding camera-equipped wearables may still cause some consumers to hesitate. Despite these factors, the brand remains a top recommendation for those seeking user-friendly smart glasses.

Alongside the smart eyewear discounts, Ray-Ban is offering up to 50 per cent off select styles in its clearance section. This discount applies to iconic designs such as the Original Wayfarer, Aviators, and Round Metal, as well as special edition models like the Bill 4th of July and A$AP Rocky collaboration pieces. The clearance inventory changes frequently, and while Meta smart glasses are unlikely to be included in the 50 per cent off category, classic frames are available at significantly reduced prices.

The promotion also includes targeted offers for students and existing customers. Eligible students can save 20 per cent on online orders through UNiDAYS verification, a discount that has previously fluctuated to 25 per cent. Additionally, a referral program offers 10 per cent off the next online purchase for both the referrer and the new customer, with standard exclusions potentially applying to these offers.

In a separate development, Ray-Ban has launched a new collaboration with Dolce&Gabbana. The partnership introduces two new styles, The Shooter and The Outdoorsman, which combine Ray-Ban’s signature shapes with Dolce&Gabbana’s playful colour palettes. These new drops push the boundaries of the brand’s traditional design language with bright lenses and stylish frames.

The August promotions highlight Ray-Ban’s strategy of balancing its heritage as a provider of timeless sunglasses with its push into the smart eyewear market. By offering substantial discounts on both its innovative AI glasses and its classic inventory, the brand aims to capture a broader audience, from tech enthusiasts to traditional eyewear consumers.
