Rams avoid 0–2 start as CBS Sports awards Week 2 ‘A’
Los Angeles defeated the Giants on Monday night, while seven teams fell to 0–2 after Week 2.
CBS Sports has awarded the Los Angeles Rams an ‘A’ in its assessment of all 32 NFL teams after Week 2, following the team’s Monday-night victory over the New York Giants.
The result lifted the Rams from their opening 0–1 record and prevented Los Angeles from joining the group of teams at 0–2. The Giants entered the game with a 1–0 record.
The Texans, Titans, Colts, Dolphins, Commanders, Buccaneers and Falcons were all reported to be 0–2 after losing on Sunday.
CBS Sports said only eight of 51 teams that started 0–2 since the NFL expanded its playoffs to 14 teams in 2020 went on to reach the postseason. It also noted that three teams made the playoffs last season after beginning 0–2.
The figures provide historical context for the significance of an early-season losing record, but do not determine the prospects of any team in the current season.
