QB Vision Gulf Coast Retreat draws 80 quarterbacks to Florida Panhandle
Riders personnel assessed standout signal callers including Camden Page and John Slagle during the three-day event held from May 29 to 31, 2026.
The 2026 QB Vision Gulf Coast Retreat convened at Steve Riggs Stadium, located within Fort Walton Beach High School in Florida, drawing approximately 80 high school quarterbacks for a three-day evaluation period. The event, which ran from May 29 to May 31, 2026, served as a key off-season gathering for prospects from Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee, with Rivals personnel present to assess the field of signal callers.
Camden Page, a Class of 2027 quarterback from Bowling Green High School in Kentucky, emerged as a primary focus for evaluators. Page, who helped lead the Spartans to the Kentucky KHSAA Class 6A state championship last season, demonstrated significant arm strength and accuracy on the move. Standing at 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, Page completed 174 of 251 passes for 2,374 yards and 24 touchdowns in the previous campaign.
John Slagle, a rising freshman from Goodpasture Christian School in Madison, Tennessee, also drew attention for his performance. As a Class of 2030 prospect, Slagle impressed evaluators with his ability to execute precise throws during the retreat. He is set to enter his first season as a varsity player for the Vikings this upcoming fall.
Cayden Creech of Beech Bluff, Tennessee, represented the top Class of 2027 arms from the Volunteer State. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound quarterback for the University School of Jackson displayed versatility in both pocket play and off-RPO scenarios. Creech concluded his junior season with 2,563 passing yards, 33 touchdowns, and only four interceptions.
Other notable participants included Johnson from Apollo, who arrived on the second day of the camp and showcased skills comparable to those present from the outset. Johnson, a Class of 2027 prospect with 11 Division I offers, totaled 2,502 all-purpose yards and 26 touchdowns last season. Sparks, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound dual-threat quarterback from Oak Ridge, also displayed poise and accuracy, having recorded 2,415 all-purpose yards and 23 total touchdowns in the previous year.
Nunes from Freeport and Isable, who guided the Blue Tornado to the KHSAA Class 4A state semifinals, further rounded out the standout group. Nunes, standing 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, threw for 2,012 yards and 23 scores last season, while Isable, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect, finished with 1,862 passing yards and 20 touchdowns. Bryce Crabtree, a rising sophomore from Villages Charter School in Florida and son of former NFL tight end Tom Crabtree, also impressed as a backup to starter Jadence Kennedy.
The retreat provided a structured environment for these prospects to demonstrate their capabilities ahead of the upcoming high school football season, with evaluators noting the high level of competition among the participants from the Southeast region.
