The Premier League has announced its festive fixture schedule, with 29 matches to be broadcast live on Sky Sports between 26 December and 7 January.

Seven matches are scheduled for Boxing Day. Hull City v Liverpool at 5.30pm and Newcastle v Manchester City at 8pm will form a Sky Sports double-header.

Sky Sports will also broadcast every match in two midweek rounds, scheduled for 29–30 December and 5–7 January. The broadcaster’s schedule includes a triple-header on 27 December, with Coventry City v Chelsea, Manchester United v Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace v Arsenal.

The Premier League said clubs would have at least 60 hours between their Christmas and New Year fixtures. The schedule was released more than three months in advance to give supporters time to plan travel during the busy period.

The announcement followed consultation with the Football Supporters’ Association and representatives of club Fan Advisory Boards. Further broadcast selections for November and early December were due to be announced before 19 October.
