Philadelphia World Cup logistics: Driving and parking protocols for Lincoln Financial Field
FIFA mandates advance parking passes and early arrival times as heightened security and road closures impact the South Philadelphia Sports Complex.

Philadelphia is set to host six matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Lincoln Financial Field, located at One Lincoln Financial Field Way in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. With the tournament underway across North America, local authorities and FIFA have established strict access protocols for attendees travelling by private vehicle to manage the influx of international visitors.
Driving access to the venue is channelled through specific interstate exits to mitigate congestion. Primary routes include taking I-95 North to the Broad Street Exit 17 in the right lane, following designated stadium signage. Alternative routes involve exiting I-95 North or South at Packer Avenue (Exit 19), or accessing the complex via I-76 East at the Sports Complex Exit 349 onto Broad Street, or I-76 at Packer Avenue Exit 350.
Parking is strictly limited to ticketholders and requires a pre-purchased FIFA Parking Pass. The pass must be registered using the same email address associated with the match ticket purchase. Standard parking fees are set at $125 per game, while oversized vehicles incur a significantly higher fee of $500. ADA-accessible parking is available for individuals with valid DMV-issued license plates or placards, subject to pass verification.
Security and logistical challenges have prompted specific timing directives. While FIFA has not released exact gate opening times, lots will open at least four hours prior to kick-off. However, attendees are urged to arrive three hours early to account for heightened security measures and anticipated road closures in the surrounding area.
Public transport alternatives, including rideshare services, operate without an official designated zone at the stadium. Users should anticipate significant delays and potential surge pricing due to high demand. The logistical framework reflects the broader operational scale of the 2026 tournament, which includes major events such as the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
