Penybont have secured a place in the Uefa Conference League following a decisive 2-0 victory over Haverfordwest County in the Cymru Premier Play-off final. The match took place at the DragonBet Stadium in Bridgend under rain-drenched conditions, where the home side overcame a spirited challenge from the visitors to claim the title.
The decisive moment arrived in the 10th minute when Chris Venables found the net to give Penybont an early lead. Assisted by Nathan Wood, Venables pounced on a cross to head the ball home, though the goal was accompanied by a suspicion of offside that remained unconfirmed. This strike marked Venables' third goal of the season and effectively shifted the momentum in favour of the hosts.
Captain Mael Davies sealed the victory with a curling effort in the 63rd minute, sending the ball into the top corner of the net. This goal ensured the result could not be overturned, capping off a performance that saw Penybont reach Europe for the third time in four seasons.
