The allegations surrounding the relationship between Vrabel and former NFL insider Dianna Russini have persisted since photos surfaced in March 2020. More recent reports from June 2021 detailed a private boat rental between the pair while Russini was pregnant, leading to her resignation from her role at The Athletic. Although Vrabel previously denied the romance, he has since acknowledged accountability for his actions and the distraction caused to his family, the team, and the fans.
Vrabel, who is in his second year as head coach, guided the Patriots to a Super Bowl appearance in his first season following a significant turnaround.
