Pachuca end Chivas Women’s perfect Apertura 2026 start with 3-1 victory
Guadalajara’s unbeaten run came to an end at Estadio Hidalgo as Pachuca mounted a second-half comeback to secure a decisive win in Matchday 4.
Chivas Femenil entered Matchday 4 of the Apertura 2026 tournament with an unblemished record, but a visit to Estadio Hidalgo proved costly. The Guadalajara side, managed by Antonio Contreras, faced Pachuca in a contest that ultimately saw the home side prevail 3-1.
The visitors took the lead in the 33rd minute when Alicia Cervantes converted a precise pass from Natalia Colín. The goal offered Chivas a chance to extend their perfect start, and the team maintained intensity after the strike.
Goalkeeper Blanca Félix played a pivotal role in keeping the scoreline at 1-0 heading into the second half. In the 49th minute, Félix produced a significant save to deflect a shot from Pachuca, preventing the home side from levelling the match early in the second period.
Pachuca, however, responded with a concerted offensive effort. Charlyn Corral equalised in the 60th minute by converting a penalty, shifting the momentum in favour of the Tuzas.
The home side completed the turnaround with goals from Yirleidis Quejada and Ohale Osinachi. Quejada scored in the late stages of the second half, while Osinachi sealed the victory with a goal in the 86th minute, confirming Pachuca’s 3-1 win.
The result marks Chivas Femenil’s first defeat of the Apertura 2026 campaign. The team will look to recover their form when they host Pumas at Akron Stadium on 30 August for Matchday 5.
