Ole Miss climbs to fourth as SEC puts 10 teams in AP Top 25
Ole Miss moved into the top five after beating LSU 32–24, while Florida and Mississippi State joined the rankings.
Ole Miss has climbed to No. 4 in The Associated Press Top 25 after defeating LSU 32–24 on Saturday night, marking the Rebels’ first top-five ranking since they finished last season at No. 3.
LSU fell three places to No. 10 following the result but remained in the top 10. The movement placed Ole Miss above LSU and three other teams in the AP poll released on Sunday.
Florida and Mississippi State also entered the rankings, taking the Southeastern Conference’s total to 10 teams in the AP Top 25.
Texas held No. 1 for a second consecutive week, followed by Georgia, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Indiana. Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, BYU and LSU completed the top 10.
