CBS Sports has published early projections for the first two rounds of 2027 fantasy baseball drafts, placing Shohei Ohtani at the top of its list and Chicago outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong fifth overall.
The rankings cover traditional 5x5 Rotisserie leagues, with Head-to-Head points formats addressed separately. CBS Sports presented the exercise as an early assessment as the 2026 season draws to a close.
Aaron Judge, Yordan Alvarez and Juan Soto round out the projected top four. Crow-Armstrong is followed by James Wood, Fernando Tatis, Jacob Misiorowski, Cam Schlittler, Tarik Skubal, Bobby Witt and Elly De La Cruz.
Junior Caminero is projected to open the second round at 13th overall, while Jackson Chourio is listed 24th. The group also includes Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Ronald Acuna, Corbin Carroll, Jose Ramirez and C.J. Abrams.
CBS Sports’ list reflects unresolved questions around ageing players, potential bounce-backs and emerging talent. The publication does not provide detailed statistical methodology for the individual placements, and the rankings remain predictions rather than confirmed draft outcomes.
Skubal is listed as a free agent, leaving his 2027 team unresolved and adding another uncertainty to an exercise that will change before draft season.
