Nvidia teams up with Wall Street asset managers on $500 billion AI infrastructure push
Semiconductor leader joins Apollo, Blackstone and Goldman Sachs in private capital push

Nvidia has collaborated with major Wall Street asset managers to launch a $500 billion capital package designed to finance artificial intelligence infrastructure. The initiative highlights the increasing reliance on private capital to support the expanding costs associated with the artificial intelligence sector.

According to reports from the Financial Times, key groups involved in the collaboration include Apollo Global Management, Blackstone, and Goldman Sachs. These financial heavyweights are aligning with the semiconductor leader to mobilise capital for the rapid expansion of data centres required for the AI era.

The proposed financing structure aims to address the significant capital requirements driven by the AI boom. The deal underscores a broader trend where institutional investors are stepping in to fund the infrastructure needs that traditional corporate balance sheets may struggle to support alone.

The announcement coincides with a period of heightened market activity and diplomatic engagement. US stock markets rose on Thursday as President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping commenced a two-day summit in Beijing, with the agenda covering trade, artificial intelligence, and the Strait of Hormuz.

Nvidia shares surged more than 2% following news that the US approved H200 chip sales to Chinese firms. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is among the US CEOs attending the Beijing summit alongside other business leaders, including Elon Musk and Tim Cook.
