Nottingham Forest confirms departure of four players as contracts expire
Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega and striker Lorenzo Lucca are among those leaving the Premier League side as the squad undergoes end-of-season personnel changes.

Nottingham Forest has confirmed that four players will depart the club as their contracts expire or loan spells conclude. The announcement includes goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, defender Willy Boly, and goalkeeper Angus Gunn, while striker Lorenzo Lucca is returning to his parent club, Napoli.
Ortega, who joined Nottingham Forest from Manchester City in February, made 10 appearances for the club. This tally included seven matches during the team’s campaign in the Europa League, which progressed to the semi-finals. His departure marks the end of a short tenure at the club following his transfer from the English Premier League side.
Defender Willy Boly and goalkeeper Angus Gunn are also leaving at the end of their contracts this month. The club issued a statement thanking both players, along with Ortega and Lucca, for their contributions while on Trentside, wishing them well in their next professional steps.
Lorenzo Lucca was signed on loan from Napoli in January and scored one goal in nine appearances for the English side. His loan agreement has now concluded, and he will return to the Serie A club.
The squad’s goalkeeper situation remains structured with Matz Sels established as the first-choice keeper. Additionally, John Victor is expected to be fit for the start of the next season after suffering a serious knee injury in January.
