No. 5 Indiana will host Howard at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington on Saturday, 12 September 2026, with the game scheduled for 12 p.m. ET.

Indiana opened its season with a 52–16 victory over North Texas. Quarterback Josh Hoover completed 13 of 16 passes for 231 yards and four touchdowns, while Turbo Richard and Charlie Becker each scored twice.

Becker also recorded 64 receiving yards in the opener. Indiana’s early attacking form has made it a significant favourite, with DraftKings listing the Hoosiers at -56.5 and setting the total at 64.5 points.

Howard is 1–1 after a 28–21 loss to Richmond on 5 September. Fox Sports reported that the Bison have completed 44.6 per cent of their passes across two games, a figure ranked ninth-lowest in college football during the 2026 regular season.

Howard’s prospects of staying in the contest rest partly on quarterback Scroggins, who reportedly threw for 424 yards and four touchdowns and added 88 rushing yards in the season opener. Receiver Osborne has also recorded 101 receiving yards and one touchdown this season.
