Nintendo ends service for Mario Kart Tour mobile game

Nintendo ended service for Mario Kart Tour on 30 September, closing the mobile game six years after its 2019 launch.
The app will still open, but only to show player stats. The game itself is no longer playable, and Nintendo has not converted it into an offline title.
Nintendo announced the shutdown in July. At the time, it stopped selling in-game currency and ended auto-renewals for the Gold Pass subscription.
The closure adds Mario Kart Tour to a list of discontinued Nintendo mobile games that includes Miitomo, Dr. Mario World and Dragalia Lost.
