NFL Betting Streaks Put Under Review Ahead of Week 2
Fox Sports has assessed team betting trends ahead of Week 2, with Seattle and New England carrying the strongest records as favourites.

Several NFL teams enter Week 2 with notable betting streaks, according to an assessment by Fox Sports using DraftKings Sportsbook odds current as at 16 September.
Seattle had won 15 consecutive games as a favourite, while New England had won 13. Fox Sports said the two teams, which contested the previous season’s Super Bowl, went 16-1 and 13-1 as favourites respectively last season. Seattle’s most recent loss in that position came against Tampa Bay in Week 5, while New England’s came against Las Vegas in Week 1.
The assessment also highlighted Carolina’s 12 consecutive losses and 12 straight failures to cover as a favourite. Dallas had failed to cover the spread in six successive games, despite recording 12 straight wins as a home favourite against NFC East opponents.
Indianapolis had lost eight games in a row, while Green Bay had lost six. The Colts’ next four fixtures were listed as trips to Kansas City, home games against Houston and Washington, and a road match against Pittsburgh.
DraftKings prices listed by Fox Sports included Seattle at -205, New England at -218, Dallas at -225 and Indianapolis at -285. Green Bay was a 4.5-point favourite against the New York Jets.
The figures describe historical trends rather than guarantees about Week 2 results. Fox Sports also noted that its page could contain affiliate links and that it may receive compensation from legal sports betting partners.
