The volleyball match between top-ranked Nebraska and Missouri was suspended at Wrigley Field after repeated delays caused by a slippery court, according to Yahoo Sports.
Nebraska led 11-7 in the first set when play was halted. Players and staff reportedly mopped and towelled the surface, while blowers were brought in to dry the court.
The match began more than an hour later than scheduled after Penn State defeated Kentucky in four sets, 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 25-15. Further interruptions followed as players and coaches worked to address the court conditions.
Nebraska built its lead with kills from Andi Jackson and serving from Virginia Adriano, the source reported. The match was then suspended after another lengthy delay, with no resumption date announced.
The source reported that 43,687 fans attended. Nebraska is scheduled to play New Mexico in Lincoln on Thursday at 6.30pm.
