NASA Wallops to Hold Public Briefing on Facility Updates and Health Consultation
The public information session at the NASA Wallops Visitor Center will cover bridge construction, beach replenishment, and environmental health findings on Wednesday.

NASA Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia is inviting the public to an information session designed to facilitate discussion and share updates on ongoing activities at the site. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and will take place at the NASA Wallops Visitor Center.
Attendees can expect to learn about specific infrastructure developments, including the current status of the causeway bridge construction and recent efforts regarding beach replenishment. A representative from the GLOBE program will also be present to provide information related to the initiative.
A significant portion of the briefing will focus on environmental health concerns. Federal and state health experts will be on hand to address questions from the public concerning the PFAS health consultation report. This report was released by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry and forms a key part of the agenda for the meeting.
The NASA Wallops Visitor Center is situated on Virginia Route 175, located approximately five miles from U.S. Route 13 and five miles from Chincoteague. The facility aims to provide transparency regarding its operations through this open forum.
The session offers a direct opportunity for community members to engage with NASA and relevant health authorities. By bringing together information on physical infrastructure and environmental data, the event seeks to keep the local population informed about the facility's broader impact and activities.
