NASA Hosts SpaceX Crew-11 Astronauts for Public Event at Headquarters
Crew members discuss 167-day International Space Station mission during standard postflight visit

NASA will host a public event at its Washington headquarters on Monday, 1 June, at 11 a.m. EDT, featuring three crew members from the SpaceX Crew-11 mission. The gathering, held in the Webb Auditorium at the Mary W. Jackson building, forms part of the agency’s standard postflight visit protocol.

NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, along with JAXA astronaut Kimiya Yui, will discuss their 167-day mission aboard the International Space Station. The crew participated in Expedition 73/74, conducting a wide range of science experiments designed to benefit life on Earth and advance human space exploration.

The Crew-11 mission lifted off on 1 August 2025 from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft docked with the orbital outpost on 2 August, where the crew, alongside Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov, completed more than 2,670 orbits and travelled nearly 71 million miles.

During their stay, the astronauts logged hundreds of hours of research, maintenance, and technology demonstrations. The crew also marked a significant milestone on 2 November 2025 by celebrating the 25th anniversary of continuous human presence aboard the station.

Mike Fincke is undertaking his fourth spaceflight, having accumulated 549 days in space, which ranks him fourth among all NASA astronauts for cumulative days in space. This mission marks the second flight for Yui, while it is the first for Cardman and Platonov.

The crew returned to Earth on 15 January, splashing down off the coast of San Diego. The upcoming event is part of NASA’s Frontiers Forum: Voices Shaping the Future of Space speaking series, which convenes leaders to discuss mission-critical priorities including the Artemis campaign and commercial partnerships.

Media interested in attending the briefing must RSVP by 8 a.m. EDT on 1 June by emailing the NASA Headquarters newsroom at [email protected]. Due to the crew’s schedule, NASA will not accommodate interviews.
