NASA releases full agenda for SmallSat 2026 conference

NASA has published the full agenda for the SmallSat 2026 conference, which is scheduled to run from 24 to 26 August 2026. The event will feature storytelling sessions led by NASA experts in the Exhibit Hall, specifically at booths 635, 835, 641, and 940.

The programme covers a range of topics, including small satellite technology, supply chain observations, and flight opportunities. Presenters from various NASA centres and industry partners will share insights on mission design and operational challenges.

On Monday, 24 August, the schedule includes presentations on supply chain observations and technology shortfalls. Speakers such as Fletcher Franklin of BryceTech and Bruce Yost of SPARCS will address these issues, while Tim Canham from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) will discuss the Skyfall mission.

Tuesday, 25 August, will focus on innovation and technology transfer. Sessions will cover topics such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Science as a Service, with panelists from NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD) and other divisions.

The final day, Wednesday, 26 August, will highlight specific missions and future concepts. The agenda includes updates on the CAPSTONE 02 mission, the R5 Spacecraft Series, and DiskSat. Additionally, there will be discussions on biological and physical science payload concepts for future small satellite missions.

The conference serves as a platform for discussing recent developments in small satellite operations, including the ongoing work with the LINK spacecraft and other agency initiatives.
