NASA Awards Facilities Support Services Contract for Ames Research Center
Chugach Intelligence Solutions selected to maintain historic and specialised infrastructure in California’s Silicon Valley

NASA has awarded the Facilities Support Services II contract to Chugach Intelligence Solutions LLC to manage operations, maintenance, and repairs at its Ames Research Center. The agreement, valued at a maximum potential of approximately $158 million, is designed to keep the centre’s historic and specialised facilities fully operational.

The contract covers a five-year period of performance, structured with a 12-month base period followed by four 12-month option periods. It also includes the possibility of a six-month extension. The performance period is scheduled to commence on Thursday, 13 August.

Located in California’s Silicon Valley, the Ames Research Center relies on this support to sustain its missions and accommodate tenant partners within the NASA Research Park. The hybrid contract model utilises cost-plus-award-fee core requirements, firm-fixed-price phase-in, and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task orders. This structure provides flexibility to address both routine maintenance and emergent facility needs.

The total award value of $158 million is inclusive of all options and the total indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity ceiling value. The agreement ensures that the agency’s infrastructure remains capable of supporting ongoing scientific and technological initiatives at the facility.

Jeanne Neal, a contact at the Ames Research Center, provided details regarding the contract administration. The selection of Chugach Intelligence Solutions marks the latest iteration in facilities support for the centre, building on previous service agreements.
