Murfreesboro TSSAA girls athlete of the week poll opens
Ten volleyball and soccer athletes are nominated for performances recorded from 31 August to 6 September, with voting closing at 2 p.m. on 10 September.

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association poll includes six volleyball nominees: Carly Harvey, Campbell King, Ellie Kate Knox, Becca Lamb, Campbell Leathers and Jholie McLeod.
The soccer nominees are Aimee Rondon, Madisen Stanley, Norrah Vaovasa and Abigail Woods. Their reported contributions include goals, assists, kills, aces, digs and blocks.
The source reports Harvey recorded 32 kills across three matches, while King had 69 assists and seven aces. Knox recorded 41 assists, 11 digs and eight aces in a win over Franklin Christian.
