Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has applied for a judicial review seeking to quash search warrants used by police at his former homes in Sandringham and Windsor. The judiciary confirmed the application.

The warrants were issued by a judge at the Central Criminal Court on 18 February 2026. Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested the following day on suspicion of misconduct in public office and released later that day.

A London hearing is likely on Thursday to consider Thames Valley Police’s application to restrict access to court documents. The judiciary has not confirmed the hearing’s final arrangements; the request does not itself determine whether the hearing or documents will be private.

Thames Valley Police said its investigation into alleged misconduct in public office continues and that it would not comment further while legal proceedings are ongoing. Mountbatten-Windsor denies wrongdoing.
