SportsLine expert Matt Severance has released predictions for the event, specifically recommending a bet on the Under 8.5 total runs at odds of -122. Severance, who is currently on a 118-66-1 roll in MLB picks and has returned +1266 over the past four seasons, argues that the high volume of pitchers used in recent editions will suppress offensive output.
The absence of several high-profile players further complicates the offensive landscape. National League pitcher and designated hitter Shohei Ohtani is unavailable due to a knee injury.
