According to Opta Ace, Andreeva is the youngest competitor to achieve this specific feat since Maria Sharapova did so in 2005. The historical context notes that Sharapova reached this mark at the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo when she was 17, an era when some events were played on carpet courts. Andreeva, currently 19, enters the championship match having already secured titles in Adelaide and Linz earlier this year.
The match against Baptiste was a pivotal moment in the tournament's semi-final round. Baptiste had entered the contest on high momentum following an upset of world number one Aryna Sabalenka, but she was unable to maintain that form against Andreeva.
