Mheuka says Celtic move is the right step in his development
The Chelsea loanee consulted his footballing father and Mikey Moore before joining Celtic for the season.

Chelsea loanee Shim Mheuka says Celtic’s football, supporters and league made the club an ideal setting for his development.
Mheuka consulted people close to him, including his footballing father and former Rangers loanee Mikey Moore, before completing the season-long move. He said the decision brought more excitement than nerves, having previously moved from Brighton to Chelsea early in his academy career.
The teenager has made substitute appearances against Aberdeen and St Mirren since joining Celtic. He thought he had scored against St Mirren, but the effort was ruled out for offside.
“It’s been amazing so far,” Mheuka said, according to Yahoo Sports. “Hopefully that’s just a teaser and there will be plenty of more opportunities to put the ball in the back of the net.”
Mheuka joined Chelsea from Brighton aged 15 for a reported fee exceeding £4 million and is reported to be contracted to the London club until 2031. He cited Didier Drogba, Ronaldo, Luis Suárez and Harry Kane among the forwards who have influenced his game.
