Meta adds podcast promotion tools to Threads
Threads users can now share transcript excerpts, preview episodes, save shows and track clicks and saves generated by podcast posts.

Meta has added a suite of podcast-promotion tools to Threads, expanding features the platform began introducing in 2025. The changes include transcript sharing, audio previews, video clips, guest highlights and episode saving.
According to Engadget, Threads posts containing episode links can display a portion of a show’s written transcript, show video clips where available or highlight a featured guest who has been tagged. Episode links can also play an audio preview.
A new save-for-later function allows users to bookmark episodes for a later return. Meta is also adding reminders for creators to share episodes after publication.
The platform’s new podcast insights track how many people click on or save an episode through Threads. The measures provide visibility into traffic generated on the platform, but the report does not describe them as comprehensive podcast analytics.
Threads head Connor Hayes reportedly previewed transcript sharing in August. Meta has not specified whether the new features are available globally or to all users, and no figures were provided for adoption or traffic generated.
The additions come as video podcasts are increasingly used as source material for short-form clips and promotion across social and streaming platforms. The extent to which Threads will benefit from that trend remains unclear.
