Sean McVay will face a former quarterback from his Rams teams when Los Angeles meets Philadelphia: Sean Mannion, now the Eagles’ first-year offensive coordinator, according to a report by Rams Wire.

McVay told reporters on Wednesday that he remembered Mannion as smart and conscientious, with a strong appetite for learning and curiosity. He also said he had heard Mannion worked well with Packers coach Matt LaFleur.

Mannion played under McVay in Los Angeles in 2017 and 2018. He left the Rams after that season, played for Minnesota, then joined Green Bay’s coaching staff in 2024. LaFleur was his offensive coordinator with the Rams in 2017.

The matchup also renews a recent run of results between the teams. The Rams lost to Philadelphia in Week 3 last season and have lost their past four games against the Eagles since 2023, Rams Wire reported.

The source does not specify the date or venue for the upcoming game.
